Fun Fun Fun fest: 11.05.11

As if threes days and nites of triple fun wasn’t enough, the time police tacked on an extra hour last night.  First it was 1:45am and then it was 12:45am.  That hour was very unnecessary and highly detrimental to my well being.  I blame that hour for how I feel this morning.  Luckily, I can still remember back to the time when I was feeling good — when I was heading back to the hotel with two piping hot slices of Death Metal Pizza in hand, blisters on my feet, fog in my head and a smile on my face.  The fun fun fun went on for fifteen hours yesterday, and I’m still here to tell the tale.

Full Sets:
Active Child, Future Islands, Tinariwen, The Joy Formidable, Dead Horse (x2), M83, Deafheaven, Tera Melos, Russian Circles

Partial Sets:
B L A C K I E, Wugazi, Dan Deacon, Turquoise Jeep, Kool Keith, Childish Gambino, Hot Snakes, Girls, Lykke Li, Neon Indian, The Damned, Major Lazer

Favorite 5:
The Joy Formidable, Deafheaven, Lykke Li, M83, Active Child

Biggest Disappointment:
The wind.  Dust played a much bigger role then the day before.
Red 7 running out of Red Bull when I needed it the most

Strongest Stage So Far:
Orange had a great run mid-day!

Once again, set reviews and daily details to come shortly, but right now I really have to get some breakfast in this weary body and get back out there for day three.  The fun will not end until Slayer throws its bloody corpse on the crowd!

THAT LOOKS SO DAMN FUN!!! Austin ROCKS! Glad They Joy Formidable was good I’ve been wanting to check them out. Their singer looks pretty hot from the pic! Check out Shakespeare’s if it’s still around while in Austin for more drinks! HAHA!
