How To Dress Well Premieres New ‘Dance’ Track

Before Tom Krell knew how to dress well, he lived right here in Colorado20 miles away from the stage at Hi-Dive where he just finished his debut performance in The Centennial State.

I guess I’m the Homecoming QueenKrell admitted to the audience after an eclectic DJ set comprised of Terius Nash‘s Wedding Crasher, Janet Jackson‘s Again and Xiu Xiu‘s cover of Fast Car.  The 20 minute mix served as a warm up to the Hi-Dive closing set of GOLDRUSH — a set that included Suicide Dream 2, Ready For The World, I Wish, Take It Off and Lover’s Start, as well as a new ‘dance’ song that can be heard below.

The show did not go off without a hitch — the Macbook running the projections tried to kick-off a Time Machine save half-way through the set, the sound had quite a bit of snap, crackle and pop, and Krell literally had to argue back and forth with the sound guy to keep playing past last call —  but overall it was a successful set from the most unlikely future of lo-fi rnb.
