A Fun Fun Fun Playlist: Going Deep into FFF6

The Fun Fun Fun Fest has been the best weekend of music for quite a few years running.  A relatively small festival with a massive line-up, Fun Fun Fun brings acts from near and far (and even from the dead) to the Lone Star State‘s mecca of live music every NovemberFFF6 will kick-off a new chapter in Fun Fun Fun history, expanding to 3 full days at Auditorium Shores.  An extra day, a much larger venue and headliners as diverse as Slayer, Spoon and Public Enemy — this year is sure to be another year where everyone gets their fill of fun.

With short bathroom lines, even shorter beer lines, an excellent selection of food and low ticket prices, is there anything NOT fun about this festival?  The answer is yes.  Trying to figure out what bands to see can be very difficult, especially when some of these bands haven’t been around in a long time or arn’t big enough to have a large Internet or iTunes presence.  But this year also marks the launch of Spotify in the U.S. and we’ve taken advantage of this new tool to put together a massive playlist to go along with this massive line-up.  Whether it’s 80’s hardcore, underground hip-hop, thrash or comedy, we’ve got it covered.  This Fun Fun Fun 2011 playlist has an average of 5 songs per artist for a total of almost 500 tracks and a full 24 hours of listening pleasure.

See you in Austin in November.  Enjoy.
