Sufjan Stevens – The Age Of Adz

Sufjan Stevens – The Age Of Adz

It’s been 5 years since Sufjan released his critically-acclaimed Illinois concept album and since then I have been fighting the urge to give-up on the man.  Over the past 5 years we’ve had  collection of outtakes from an album that already had 22 tracks and a running time of well over an hour, a collection of Christmas songs, a multi-media project, a mediocre EP and an announcement that he was abandoning his ’50-states’ project after only 2 albums.

But alas, the proper follow-up to Illinois is here in the form of The Age of Adz and although it won’t school you in the history of Minnesota or Iowa, it’s a damn good album; an album that needs to be consumed as a whole.  So go on a long drive or put on your headphones and enjoy!
